Η πρώην Μεγάλη Ελλάδα

Και με το "Μεγάλη" δεν εννοώ φυσικά την περιοχή της Νότιας Ιταλίας και Σικελίας, άλλοτε ελληνικές αποικίες...
Αναφέρομαι στο "μεγαλείο" των προγόνων μας, που έδωσαν τόσα πολλά στην ανθρωπότητα, σε τόσους πολλούς τομείς, από τις Επιστήμες και την Πολιτική μέχρι τις Τέχνες... Είναι αλήθεια, δεν μπορεί κανείς να το αρνηθεί....
Ως πότε, όμως, θα έχουμε αυτήν την "καραμέλα" στο στόμα μας, μην μπορώντας να παραδεχτούμε την σημερινή κατάσταση της χώρας μας;;; Πόσες φόρες δεν έχω ακούσει (αλλά και χρησιμοποιήσει εγώ ο ίδιος) το γνωστό επιχείρημα: "Όταν εμείς φιλοσοφούσαμε, οι Δυτικο-Ευρωπαίοι ήταν πάνω στα δέντρα". Ωραία, δεκτό κι αυτό, αλλά σήμερα τι γίνεται;;;
Παραθέτω το παρακάτω απόσπασμα από τον , που περιγράφει πλήρως την κατάσταση μας σήμερα:

My favorite on Greece was the «Great Tzadziki Spill of 1986″. See, some native Greeks might not understand the humor in this, but many Americans when they think of Greece think of things like Souflaki (American spelling) and Tadziki (American spelling). We don’t care about Socrates or Plato, we associate you as Souvlaki eating Tzadziki spilling Greeks. But, like any stereotype, it’s more false than true.
SAD THAT SOME OF US AMERICANS THINK LIKE THAT.
But, then as you know, there’s quite a few Greeks in Athens that think the US State department has a desk in Washington just to «screw things up» in Greece, or that all Americans love WAR.
